Pakistani airports safe from cyberattacks; flight operations remain normal: PAA
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) confirmed on Saturday that all airports across the country are secure from cyberattacks and that flight operations are continuing as normal.
According to the PAA, all software and electronic systems, including immigration and airline operations, are fully functional, with no reports of technical glitches or security threats.
The clarification came a day after major airports in Europe and the UK were hit by a large-scale cyberattack that crippled check-in and other electronic systems at London Heathrow, Brussels, and Berlin, leading to hours-long delays and flight cancellations.
The PAA assured travellers that Pakistan’s airports remain unaffected and that monitoring mechanisms are in place to respond swiftly to any potential cyber threats.
