Water supply to Karachi suspended again as chemical tanker accident disrupts Hub Canal
Water supply from the Hub Canal to Karachi was suspended on Saturday after a chemical-laden tanker overturned and fell towards the canal, spilling its contents into the water.
Officials said the chemical seeped into the canal, forcing authorities to immediately halt water distribution to prevent contamination.
Water samples have been sent to a laboratory for testing, and supply will only be restored after clearance is received.

As a result of the suspension, residents of Keamari, West and Central districts have once again been left without water.
Earlier on Tuesday, September 16, a 66-inch rising pipeline of the Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation burst in Hub suspending water supply from Hub Dam to Karachi.
