Pakistan has cancelled its scheduled pre-match press conference on Saturday ahead of the much-anticipated Asia Cup Super Four clash against India on Sunday.

Sources said the decision was taken to avoid any potential controversies on the eve of the high-stakes encounter.

The national squad will, however, proceed with its scheduled training session in Dubai later this evening.

Motivational sessions ahead of high-pressure tie

To boost player morale before the high-pressure contest, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has enlisted the services of motivational speaker Dr Raheel, who will deliver sessions until the match.

He is tasked with mentally preparing the players for what is expected to be one of the most intense games of the tournament.

Pycroft, who has previously officiated in Pakistan-India fixtures, will once again oversee the clash.
