The high-stakes Pakistan-India encounter is scheduled for Sunday in the UAE.
According to Indian media reports, there are now serious doubts over Axar Patel’s availability for the crucial match.
The spin-bowling all-rounder sustained an injury during fielding in India’s last group match against Oman.
Reports say Axar was injured while trying to take a catch in the 15th over of the match.
He fell awkwardly, hitting his head on the ground, after which he left the field and did not return for the remainder of the game.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding his participation in Sunday’s clash against Pakistan.
