Shahbaz Sharif arrives in London to visit Nawaz Sharif
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has arrived at Luton Airport in London following a brief stop in Geneva, Switzerland, where he visited former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources indicate that during their meeting Sharif briefed Nawaz on the details of the historic defense agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In London, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with British officials and engage with the Pakistani business community. He will also address a convention for the Pakistani community on Saturday.
Following his engagements in London, Sharif will head to the United States on Sunday to address the General Assembly on September 26.
It is significant to note that the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif recently signed a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement (SMDA), which aims to enhance security, promote peace in the region and beyond and bolster defense capabilities in light of current and future threats.
