For livestock compensation, she announced Rs500,000 for the loss of cows or buffaloes and Rs50,000 for sheep and goats.

The chief minister emphasised that the government would not rest until every flood victim was rehabilitated.

“Livestock is the main source of livelihood for flood-affected families, which is why we also ensured safe relocation of animals to secure areas,” she said.

CM Maryam added that timely evacuations prevented far greater destruction during recent floods, stressing that the government had fully prepared its disaster response in advance.

She praised her cabinet and officials, noting that many ministers remained awake for nights while personally supervising relief activities.

The chief minister reaffirmed her government’s commitment to stand by the flood-affected communities “until their complete rehabilitation.”
