The groom who was reported missing from Korangi’s Madina Colony on his wedding day has returned home, police confirmed on Tuesday.

According to police, Jehanzaib, who was initially believed to have been abducted, had in fact left his home voluntarily on the day of his wedding.

He had told his family he was going to a salon for preparations but never reached there, leaving his mobile phone behind.

In his initial statement, Jehanzaib said that although the marriage was arranged with his consent, he had been under mental stress about the wedding.

After leaving home, he claimed to have spent days and nights wandering the streets.
