The service also allows users to add and manage their Mada debit cards alongside international credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard through the Google Wallet app.

The platform incorporates multiple security measures, including industry-standard tokenisation. Each transaction is processed using a virtual card number unique to the device, paired with a dynamic security code that changes with every payment.

SAMA said the introduction of Google Pay reflects its commitment to enhancing digital payments in Saudi Arabia and meeting the evolving needs of consumers in the Kingdom.
