Maryam dispatches 100 tonnes of food aid for Gaza
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Lahore Airport on Monday to oversee the dispatch of a major relief consignment for the people of Gaza, sending a clear message of solidarity from Pakistan.
The aid shipment, weighing 100 tonnes, includes 32 food items being sent to support Palestinians enduring severe hardships amid the ongoing conflict.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Gaza.
“The hearts of Pakistanis beat with the Palestinians,” she said.
“The oppression of innocent Muslims in Gaza has shaken every sensitive soul. This aid is a message of love from the people of Pakistan to the people of Gaza.”
The CM added that Pakistan’s relief effort reflects both compassion and commitment to easing the suffering of Gazans, who continue to face shortages of food and basic necessities.
