The security forces have killed 31 terrorists associated with the Indian-backed Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate operations conducted across Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement on Sunday, the operations were carried out between September 13 and 14, following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the region.

In Lakki Marwat, a targeted intelligence-based operation (IBO) was launched after reports of militant activity.

“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell,” said the statement.

In a second operation in the Bannu district, security forces killed 17 more terrorists from the same group after another exchange of heavy gunfire.

The ISPR stated that the terrorists’ hideouts were effectively targeted in both locations.

Clearance operations were underway to eliminate any remaining threats, the ISPR said. The military reiterated its resolve to completely eradicate Indian-backed terrorism from Pakistani soil.

“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country,” said ISPR.

Naqvi praises security forces

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded the professionalism and bravery of Pakistan’s security forces following successful operations against Indian-sponsored terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement on Monday, Naqvi praised the forces for “sending 31 Indian-sponsored terrorists to hell” and said their timely actions thwarted the militants’ “malicious designs” against Pakistan.

“I pay tribute to the courageous personnel who brought these terrorists to an exemplary end,” the interior minister said, adding that the entire nation stands united with the security forces in their fight against terrorism.

Naqvi vowed that Pakistan would not allow “India-backed miscreants” to find shelter on its soil, reaffirming the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding national security.

Earlier, the security forces conducted an operation in Lal Qila Maidan, Lower Dir, on September 11, against Fitna Al Khwarij.

During the operation, 10 terrorists were killed, but seven soldiers embraced martyrdom while rescuing innocent civilians who had been taken hostage by the militants.
