Ishaq Dar to attend OIC foreign ministers meeting in Doha today

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar will attend the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting scheduled to take place today (Sunday) in Doha.

Sources said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to participate in the Arab-Islamic Summit to be held the day after tomorrow in Doha.

Preparations for Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s visit to Qatar have been finalised.

The meeting of Islamic and Arab foreign ministers will review the situation following the recent Israeli attacks on Qatar.

Dar is expected to express strong solidarity and support for Qatar.

The meeting will include a strong condemnation of the recent Israeli aggression, and participating foreign ministers from Muslim and Arab countries will deliberate on a joint strategy to counter Israeli hostilities.

The summit is scheduled to take place the day after tomorrow in Doha, which will also be attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and heads of countries from over 50 nations.
