New judicial year of the Supreme Court begins today
The new judicial year of the Supreme Court will commence today (Monday).
A judicial conference will be held at 9.30am in connection with the new judicial year. Supreme Court Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will deliver an address at the judicial conference.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi will inaugurate a facilitation centre at 10.30am.
A five-member constitutional bench, headed by Justice Aminuddin, will hear the super tax case from 11.30am. A total of 1,250 petitions related to the super tax are scheduled for hearing.
At 1pm, a full court meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, where the Supreme Court Bar’s recommendations regarding the 2025 Supreme Court Rules will be reviewed.
