First flight of relief supplies for flood victims arrives from US
The first flight carrying humanitarian aid from the United States for Pakistan’s flood victims arrived in Pakistan on Saturday through the US Army Central Command.
According to the ISPR, the US Chargé d’Affaires and the Commander of the US Army Central Command were present at the time of the aid’s arrival.
They officially handed over the relief supplies to the Pakistan Army.
The relief items will be transferred to the Pakistan Army’s flood relief camps and delivered to the flood-affected people. A total of six flights are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan.
The relief supplies include tents, water pumps, and generators.
The ISPR stated that the Government and people of Pakistan are grateful to the US Government and military for standing by them in this difficult time.
