Police issue traffic plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions

Major routes to remain closed; citizens advised to use alternative roads, traffic helpline 1915 available

Karachi traffic police have issued a special plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions on Saturday, with all SSPs Traffic directed to supervise rallies in their respective districts.

According to the plan, two major processions will depart from Memon Masjid.

The first, led by Maulana Akbar Dars, will begin at 2:30pm and conclude at Aram Bagh Masjid.

The central procession, led by Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, will leave after 3.00pm from Memon Masjid and end at Nishtar Park.

Traffic police have imposed strict restrictions:

• No traffic will be allowed from Guru Mandir towards Numaish.

• MA Jinnah Road will remain completely closed for general vehicles, and only procession vehicles with official stickers will be permitted.

• Traffic from the Central district will be diverted to Lasbela, Nishtar Road, and Garden.

• Traffic from the East district will be redirected to Shahrah-e-Quaideen, Kashmir Road, and Soldier Bazaar.

• Traffic from the South district will be diverted to Gul Plaza, Coast Guard, and Pakistan Chowk.

• Vehicles will not be allowed to move from MR Kiyani Chowk towards Court Road.

• Heavy traffic will be diverted towards Liaquatabad No.10, Nazimabad No.2, and Sher Shah.

Traffic police have urged citizens to use alternative routes to reach their destinations on time and contact the traffic helpline 1915 for assistance.
