PSX hits all-time high as KSE-100 crosses 152,900 mark
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday witnessed a strong bullish trend in early trade, setting another historic milestone as the benchmark KSE-100 Index crossed the 152,939.25-point mark, its highest level ever.
The index surged to an intraday high of 1,209 points before settling at 152,666, posting a gain of 464 points, or 0.30 per cent, by the close.
According to a report by Topline Securities, major contributors to the rally included Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC), Lucky Cement (LUCK), Systems Limited (SYS), Mari Petroleum (MARI), and Askari Bank (AKBL), which collectively added 484 points to the index.
Investor activity remained strong, with total market volume reaching 950 million shares and the overall traded value amounting to Rs45.9 billion. Bank of Punjab (BOP) led the volume chart with 99 million shares changing hands.
