Pakistan clinches team trophy at World Youth Scrabble Championship

Young prodigies shine in Kuala Lumpur as 7-year-old Taymur Waseem becomes Under-8 World Champion

Pakistan emerged victorious at the 20th World Youth Scrabble Championship, securing the coveted team trophy after an outstanding performance.

Aehzam Siddiqui brought home the Under-16 World Champion title, while 7-year-old Taymur Waseem stunned the global stage by winning the Under-8 World Championship.

In addition, Mohammed Yousuf won a silver medal in the Under-10 category, and Bilal Asher bagged silver in the Under-16.

The championship featured more than 200 players from 20 countries, showcasing the rising global competition in youth scrabble.

At the closing ceremony, World Youth Committee Chairman Tariq Pervez announced that next year’s championship will be hosted in Kenya.
