Wildlife department rescues 6 lions trapped in floodwaters in Lahore
In a successful operation conducted by the Wildlife Department at the Ravi Bank farmhouse on Multan Road, 6 lions trapped in floodwaters were rescued.
Wildlife Rangers acted swiftly to avert potential threats to human lives posed by the lions.
Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb praised the efforts of the Wildlife Rangers and the Wildlife Rescue Force, highlighting their bravery as they completed the operation despite torrential rain.
“The Wildlife Rangers and Rescue Force are the pride of the nation,” she stated.
The operation involved four boats and veterinary doctors, ensuring the safe extraction of the lions.
An immediate medical assessment of all rescued lions has begun, with their health being monitored continuously.
Minister Aurangzeb emphasized that wildlife conservation is a top priority for the Punjab government, assuring that “no living being will be left alone in trouble.”
