Assistant commissioner passes away amid relief operation
Assistant Commissioner of Pattoki Furqan Ahmed passed away at the Balloki headworks, where he had been monitoring the relief operation for the flood-affected people.
According to police, the assistant commissioner had been staying at a rest house at the Balloki headworks in Pattoki for the past five days.
Reports suggest that he suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty.
According to police, Assistant Commissioner Furqan Ahmed was under severe mental stress. His body has been shifted to a hospital.
Further, police reported that his body was found in the restroom, while the rest house staff claimed that Furqan Ahmed died due to a ruptured artery.
DG PDMA expresses grief
PDMA Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Furqan Ahmed.
According to the PDMA DG, Furqan Ahmed was on duty at the Balloki headworks.
Irfan Ali Kathia further said that Furqan Ahmed’s services will always be remembered.
