A fierce clash erupted in the limits of Lachi Police Station after terrorists ambushed a police van, leading to a search operation against the assailants.

According to DPO Kohat Dr Zahidullah, ASI Ashfaq was martyred in the attack, and two constables were injured.

Following the attack, a coordinated search operation was launched under the leadership of DIG Kohat Abbas Majid Marwat and DPO Kohat Dr Zahidullah, involving District Police, CTD, and Elite Force.

Three terrorists were killed in intense clashes during the operation in rugged mountainous terrain. The identities of the terrorists are still being verified.

The search operation is ongoing, as authorities continue to track down remaining militants in the area.
