Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward rally for the third consecutive day on Thursday, with the per tola rate rising by Rs900 to reach Rs362,600.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat 10 grams of gold increased by Rs772 to Rs310,871, while the 22-karat 10 grams rate rose by Rs708 to Rs284,975.

In the past two sessions alone, gold prices had already climbed by Rs1,900, including a sharp jump of Rs1,000 on Wednesday.

Silver prices also edged higher, with per tola rates increasing by Rs53 to Rs4,121 and 10 grams by Rs46 to Rs3,533.

On the international market, gold gained $9 per ounce, settling at $3,399.
