A Lahore district court on Thursday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for four more days in a case linked to the promotion of online gambling applications.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) produced the YouTuber before Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo after completing his initial six-day remand.

The agency requested further custody, arguing that investigations into the alleged promotion of gambling apps were still underway.

Prosecutors told the court that Ducky Bhai promoted betting platforms through his social media content and that an additional inquiry, including a forensic review of his devices and financial trail, was required.

Defence counsel opposed the request, contending that investigators already had access to the YouTuber’s mobile phone and laptop, and further custody was unnecessary.

After hearing arguments, the court granted a four-day extension in physical remand and directed investigators to continue their probe.

Arrest and charges

Ducky Bhai was arrested earlier this week at Lahore Airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country. His name had been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) due to multiple investigations.

NCCIA officials claim he promoted several gambling apps through at least 27 videos on social media.

Previous legal troubles

This is not the first time the YouTuber has faced legal challenges. Earlier this year, the Motorway Police booked him in Rawalpindi for performing dangerous stunts, including driving with his foot on the steering wheel and reportedly touching 200 km/h. He was later granted bail.

In 2024, Ducky Bhai and his wife, Aroob Jatoi, were detained in Lahore’s Model Town for displaying firearms on social media.

Authorities say the YouTuber is currently under investigation in multiple cases, with further legal proceedings expected in the coming weeks.
