Pakistan on Monday dispatched its 21st relief consignment carrying 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, underscoring the country’s continued commitment to supporting Palestinians in their time of need.

The special flight, sent from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, carried ration bags, ready-to-eat meals, and canned fruit to address urgent food shortages in the besieged enclave. The consignment was dispatched on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In the latest phase of relief operations, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has transported 412 tonnes of essential supplies through five separate flights. With Monday’s shipment, Pakistan’s total aid to Gaza has reached 2,027 tons across 21 consignments.

Earlier, on August 23, Pakistan had sent its 19th consignment of 100 tons from Lahore, while a smaller fourth consignment of 12 tonnes had departed from Islamabad.

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain attended the dispatch ceremony as the chief guest, joined by senior government and NDMA officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister lauded NDMA and partner welfare organisations for their swift coordination in ensuring the timely delivery of aid.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and pledged continued efforts to meet their humanitarian needs during this critical period.
