Curfew imposed in South Waziristan’s Birmal tehsil
The district administration of Lower South Waziristan has imposed a complete curfew in Birmal tehsil, barring all kinds of movement during its enforcement.
According to the official notification, all markets, particularly the Ragzai Bazaar and surrounding commercial areas, will remain closed.
Key highways, including Angoor Adda, Zam Chin, Khumrang, Ragzai, and Sholam to Wana routes, have also been shut down.
The order specifies that travel will only be allowed in emergency cases with prior approval from police or security forces, for which citizens must submit their national identity cards and documents.
Furthermore, the notification directs that upon sighting a security forces’ vehicle, private motorists must immediately pull their vehicles 100 meters off the road to allow safe passage.
Authorities said the restrictions were necessary for security and urged residents to comply strictly with the curfew guidelines.
