Afghanistan unveil squad for upcoming Asia Cup
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced its squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.
In a statement, the board confirmed that Rashid Khan will lead the team.
The squad also includes Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Darwish Rasooli, Sediq Atal, Azmatullah Omarzai, Karim Janat, and Mohammad Nabi.
Gulbadin Naib, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Mohammad Ishaq, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, AM Ghazanfar, Noor Ahmad, Fareed Ahmad Malik, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Fazalhaq Farooqi are also part of the squad.
It is worth noting that the Afghanistan team will participate in a tri-nation series before the Asia Cup.
The tournament, starting on September 9, will see Afghanistan placed in Group B, where they will face Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
