Lahore court extends Ducky Bhai’s physical remand in gambling app case
A Lahore court on Saturday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for five more days in a case linked to the promotion of online gambling applications.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo approved the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency’s (NCCIA) request for further custody.
Ducky Bhai was produced before the court after completing an initial six-day remand.
NCCIA had sought a 24-day extension, but the court granted only five additional days.
Defence counsel argued that the agency already has Saad-ur-Rehman’s mobile phone and laptop in custody, and forensic examination of the devices could proceed without requiring further remand.
However, the court accepted NCCIA’s plea and handed the YouTuber back to investigators.
Arrest and charges
Ducky Bhai was arrested earlier this week at Lahore Airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country.
His name had been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) due to multiple ongoing investigations.
According to NCCIA officials, the YouTuber promoted several gambling applications through social media content. Investigators claimed he produced 27 videos endorsing betting platforms. His mobile phone was seized for evidence analysis.
Previous legal troubles
This is not the first time Ducky Bhai has faced legal action.
In April, the Motorway Police registered two cases against him for performing dangerous stunts, including driving with his foot on the steering wheel and reportedly reaching speeds of 200 km/h.
The cases were filed in Chakri and Laksian police stations in Rawalpindi, after which he secured bail.
In 2024, Ducky Bhai and his wife, Aroob Jatoi, were also detained in Lahore’s Model Town for displaying firearms on social media.
Authorities said the YouTuber is currently facing investigations in multiple cases, and further legal proceedings are expected.
