Gold prices rise sharply in Pakistan on global market rally
Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Saturday, mirroring gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs4,100 to reach Rs359,800.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs3,515 to Rs308,470.
A day earlier, gold had closed at Rs355,700 per tola after a decline of Rs1,500.
In the international market, the yellow metal also recorded an uptick.
The rate stood at $3,371 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a gain of $41, APGJSA reported.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher, with the per tola rate rising by Rs108 to settle at Rs4,121.
