Gold prices surge in Pakistan amid international market gains
Gold prices in Pakistan saw an increase on Thursday, mirroring upward trends in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs357,200, marking a rise of Rs2,000 for the day.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price for 10 grams of gold also increased, reaching Rs306,241, which is up by Rs1,715.
In contrast, the price per tola had dropped to Rs355,200 on Wednesday, following a decline of Rs1,400.
The international gold rate similarly rose, now standing at $3,345 per ounce (with a $20 premium), reflecting an increase of $20, according to APGJSA.
Moreover, the price of silver per tola surged by Rs78, bringing it to Rs4,013.
