Journalist Khawar Hussain was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sanghar on Saturday.

According to initial reports, Hussain’s body was discovered inside a car parked outside a private hotel on Hyderabad Road, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and shifted the body for legal formalities.

Journalist associations expressed deep concern over the killing, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible and urgent measures to ensure the safety of media professionals across the country.

CM Sindh takes notice

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and expressed deep grief over the death of Khawar Hussain.

According to a spokesperson, the chief minister directed the Inspector General of Police to submit a detailed report and appointed a senior officer to head the investigation.

He instructed that the actual cause of death be determined and those responsible brought to justice.

CM Murad Ali Shah also prayed for patience for the bereaved family and ordered the administration to provide them with full support.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Zia Hassan Lanjar sought a comprehensive inquiry report from the Sanghar SSP regarding the recovery of the senior journalist’s body from his car.

He expressed deep sorrow over the journalist’s death, saying the late Khawar Hussain’s services and contributions to the field of journalism are unforgettable.
