Pakistan condemns Israel’s ‘Greater Israel’ plan, warns of regional instability
Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned and rejected recent statements by the Israeli occupying power advocating the creation of a so-called “Greater Israel” and the forcible displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.
said the remarks were a blatant violation of international law, the UN Charter, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
He said that the international community to “outrightly reject” such provocative notions, warning they were aimed at cementing Israel’s illegal occupation and undermining prospects for lasting peace in the region.
“These statements show the occupying power’s complete contempt for international efforts and its intent to escalate instability,” Khan said, calling for immediate and concrete action to stop Israel’s “ongoing crimes and atrocities” against the Palestinian people.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, the spokesperson reiterated Islamabad’s backing for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
