Field Marshal Asim Munir holds talks with top US military leadership
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), held high-level interactions with senior political and military leadership, as well as members of the Pakistani diaspora, during his ongoing visit to the United States.
In Tampa, the army chief attended the retirement ceremony of the outgoing Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael E. Kurilla, and the change of command ceremony for the incoming Commander, Admiral Brad Cooper.
On this occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated General Kurilla’s exemplary leadership and his invaluable contributions to strengthening Pakistan-US military cooperation.

He also extended best wishes to Admiral Cooper, expressing confidence that both sides would continue to face shared security challenges through mutual cooperation.
The army chief also met with the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, in which matters of mutual professional interest were discussed.

Field Marshal Asim Munir invited General Dan Caine to visit Pakistan. The army chief also held discussions with the defence chiefs of friendly countries.

In an interactive session with the Pakistani-American community, the army chief assured them that Pakistan has a bright future and encouraged them to play an active role in promoting investment in the country.
The Pakistani community reiterated its commitment to fully supporting the country’s development and prosperity.
