PM Shehbaz strongly condemns Israeli decision to seize control of Gaza
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday denounced Israel’s decision to seize control of Gaza, calling it a grave threat to global peace and a dangerous escalation in the war against the Palestinian people.
“We must not ignore the root causes of this tragedy,” he said, reaffirming that Pakistan’s position on supporting the rights and sovereignty of the Palestinian people “will never change.”
The prime minister warned that as long as Israel maintains its occupation of Palestinian land, as condemned in international resolutions, peace will remain an unattainable dream.
He urged the international community to halt Israeli aggression and stop obstructing humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the creation of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, Shehbaz condemned the Israeli cabinet’s approval to take control of Gaza, describing it as a “dangerous addition” to the ongoing conflict.
He said Israel’s military actions would further aggravate the humanitarian crisis and destroy any prospects for peace in the region.
“The international community must respond urgently to ensure Palestinians receive their rights and peace is restored in the region,” he stressed.
