Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt by India-backed Fitna al Khawarij terrirusts along the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob, killing 33 members of the outlawed militant group in an overnight operation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

According to the military’s media wing, a large movement of militants was detected on the night of August 7-8 in the Sambaza area of Zhob district in Balochistan.

The group, described as Indian-sponsored terrorists of the proscribed “Khawarij” network, was attempting to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan.

Troops responded swiftly and effectively, eliminating 33 militants and seizing a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.

A clearance operation is ongoing in the area to ensure no remaining threat.

ISPR stated that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to defending the motherland and will continue operations until the elimination of all India-backed terrorist activity.
