A violent clash between two rival groups in Pehlwan Goth, located in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi, left two people dead and four others injured following intense gunfire late Sunday night.

According to police, the confrontation began as a minor dispute but quickly escalated into a deadly shootout, spreading panic throughout the locality. Shops and businesses in the vicinity were shuttered as residents took shelter amid the chaos.

Witnesses reported indiscriminate firing from both sides, which claimed the lives of two individuals on the spot.

Heavy contingents of police and Rangers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, cordoning off the area and initiating evidence collection.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that several suspects have been detained, and an in-depth investigation is underway to determine the cause of the conflict and identify those responsible for the killings.

Authorities have urged residents to remain calm as security has been tightened in the area to prevent further unrest.
