NEPRA cuts electricity tariff by Rs1.75 per unit
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of Rs1.75 per unit in power tariffs under the quarterly adjustment mechanism.
The decision follows a hearing on the Central Power Purchasing Agency’s (CPPA) petition for the fourth quarter adjustment of fiscal year 2024–25.
While NEPRA has completed the hearing process, it will issue the final decision after a detailed review of the submitted data.
According to initial estimates, this reduction is expected to provide relief worth Rs53.39 billion to electricity consumers across the country.
