South Africa put in a brilliant performance in the World Champions League final in Edgbaston, England, defeating Pakistan by 9 wickets to win the tournament.
South Africa achieved the 196-run target for the loss of one wicket thanks to the brilliant batting by AB de Villiers, who played a fascinating innings of 120 runs off just 51 balls, which included 12 fours and 7 sixes.
Hashim Amla was dismissed after scoring 18 runs off 14 balls.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 196 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Pakistan’s total included Sharjeel Khan’s 76 runs, while Umar Amin contributed 36 runs.
However, the total could not pose a major obstacle for South Africa.
Sharjeel’s innings put the Proteas bowlers under pressure and provided a solid foundation for the team in the middle overs.
