Chery international, Hyundai Nishat Launch Jaecoo J6 Electric SUV in Pakistan

Collaboration comes in light after Chery ended longstanding partnership with Ghandhara Automative

The five month old collaboration between Chery International and Hyundai Nishat’s NextGen Auto has officially launched its first product for Pakistani market. The All- electric Jaecoo J6 SUV.

This launch marked a significant milestone in the Chinese Auto maker’s renewed push in to Pakistan’s fast-evolving electric vehicle (EV) sector.

The unveiling of the Jaecoo J6 comes after Chery ended its long standing collaboration with Ghandhara Automotive earlier this year.

In February 2025, the automakers made a strategic agreement with NextGen Auto, a subsidiary of Hyundai Nishat Motors.

The main aim of it was to introduce a new range of electric and hybrid vehicles from its Omoda and Jaecoo sub brands, which focus on next generation New Energy Vehicles(NEVs), this includes BEVs, PHEVs and FCEVs.

Jaecoo J6 dimensions and designs

The Jaecoo J6 is a compact electric SUV measuring 4406mm in length, 1910mm in width and 1715mm in height with a 2715mm wheelbase and 195mm ground clearance.

Two variants ride on 225/60 R18 tyres, while the top –spec trim grades to 225/55 R19 wheels.

Exterior highlights include matrix adaptive LED lights with multicolour ambient lightening, a leather multifunction sterring wheel and a five seat configuration. The driver’s seat features six way power adjustment, memory settings, ventilation, lumbar support, a welcome function and an extendable cushion. The front passenger seat also includes power adjustments and electrical leg support.

First row occupants benefits from massage functions, while second row has the opportunity of ventilated outer seats , 60/40 split backs and a center armrest with a cupholder. The vehicle offers multiple drive modes , including Eco, Normal, Sports, Custom with additional modes like All Road Slippery, Muddy, and Beach.

The convenience features it includes dual zone climate control, remote AC start, Keyless entry, electric door openers and one- touch power windows.

The tech suite features a 12.2-inch LCD instrument cluster, 6 inch central touch screen , wireless charging and audio options for pioneer or infinity.

Advanced safety and driver assistance

The Jaecoo J6 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance technologies. Standard safety gear includes six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, 360 panoramic camera, built-in driving recorder, front and rear parking sensors.

Driver-assistance systems include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Door Open Warning, Electronic Stability Programs, Hill-start and Hill-descent Control, and even pet and map modes for added versatility.
