Pakistan to play T20 tri-series in UAE

Seven-match tournament to begin on August 29 as teams prepare for Asia Cup 2025

Pakistan will compete in a T20I tri-nation series against Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from August 29 to September 7 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, as part of preparations for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the seven-match tournament is designed to help teams acclimatise to UAE conditions ahead of the Asia Cup, which begins on September 9 and will also be hosted in the UAE.

The series opens on Friday, August 29 with a clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Each team will play the others twice in a round-robin format, with the top two sides advancing to the final on Sunday, September 7.

The Emirates Cricket Board said ticketing and broadcast information will be released soon.
