Humaira Asghar case: Lab report detects suspicion in salt samples
The laboratory reports about the sample collected from Humaira Asghar’s apartment have emerged on Wednesday.
According to the copy obtained by AAJ News, six samples were collected during the investigation.
Five of them were taken from different bowls found at the scene, while the sixth was extracted from a container in the kitchen.
The forensic analysis reveals that the powder found in all five bowls is sea salt, which is commonly used for absorbing odours and repelling insects.
The sixth sample collected from the kitchen was iodised salt, indicating a clear difference between the two substances.
Investigators believe the use of sea salt in the bowls may not have been coincidental and could potentially offer insights into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
