Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that India’s proxy war has intensified after the defeat in Marka-e-Haq.

Speaking to participants of the 16th National Workshop in Balochistan on Tuesday, the army chief said India has escalated its proxy war against Pakistan by utilising entities such as Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed a diverse audience that included parliamentarians, civil society representatives, civil servants, academicians, media personnel, and youth.

During his address, the COAS reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s strong commitment to eliminating terrorism and emphasized the necessity of socio-economic development in Balochistan for national cohesion and integration.

He condemned India’s overt sponsorship of terror proxies, describing it as a misguided attempt to undermine the deep-rooted patriotism of the Baloch people.

He noted that following its defeat in Marka-e-Haq, India has intensified its proxy warfare, using entities like Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan to further its agenda against Pakistan.

He also expressed confidence that these proxies would meet a similar fate as those in previous conflicts.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted that terrorists operate beyond the constraints of religion, sect, or ethnicity, calling for a unified national response to counter this threat.

He stressed the importance of development initiatives in Balochistan and advocated for improved inter-agency cooperation to foster provincial growth and national progress.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, the COAS emphasized the nation’s readiness to respond decisively to any external or internal threats, ensuring the protection of national prestige and the wellbeing of its citizens.

The session concluded with an open dialogue between the participants and the Chief of Army Staff.
