Imran Khan stops his two sons from coming to Pakistan
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has barred his two sons from coming to Pakistan, saying Suleman and Qasim will not be part of any political protests in Pakistan.
According to sources, there were reports that Imran Khan’s sons were planning to visit Pakistan to participate in a protest for their father’s release.
However, sources close to Imran Khan on Tuesday stated that his sons will not be coming to Pakistan.
According to the sources, during the hearing of the Toshakhana II case in Adiala Jail on Tuesday, Imran Khan was asked whether his sons had returned from the US and whether they would participate in the protest on August 5. To which the PTI founder said that his children would not come to Pakistan.
According to the sources, Imran Khan said that the protest movement is going to be run by his party, to which his sons are not affiliated.
Aleema says court orders being violated
Meanwhile, talking to the media outside Adiala jail, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan claimed that she has not been allowed to enter the jail for the past two to three months.
“Now, even my sisters are not being allowed inside to meet our brother. At present, the PTI founder is being kept in complete solitary confinement,” she added.
Aleema pointed out that the judge had ordered at the previous hearing that the family and lawyers should be called to attend the court proceedings, but the prison administration is continuously violating the court order.
When a journalist referred to claims made by government circles that Aleema Khan has hijacked the party, she laughed.
“They can say whatever they want. Let them come and take over the party. They can’t even manage their own party, how can they handle PTI? They do not have a party. They just have six people and run the party like a company,” she added.
Aleema said that rulers do not care about what’s happening in the country. “All they care about is what’s going on in PTI. After the sugar crisis, the wheat crisis looms, but they don’t seem concerned. PTI isn’t even playing the role of an opposition in Parliament.”
When asked about the disqualification of PTI members, Aleema Khan said, “How is the assembly being run at the moment? Those who raise their voices are being disqualified, the Punjab Assembly leader has been disqualified, and now they are planning to disqualify opposition leader Omar Ayub. There is no rule of law or constitution in the country,” she added.
