KP to experience partly cloudy skies, rainfall, says Met Office
The weather will remain partly cloudy and humid in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours, while rain has also been predicted.
According to the Met Office, rain has been predicted in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan and Swabi. Similarly, rain is also expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad and Kohistan.
The Met Office has also predicted cloudbursts in the areas of Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Mohmand, North and South Waziristan. Yesterday, three millimeters of rain was recorded in Kohat and two millimeters in Balakot.
Torrential rains are expected in the upper province, which include Mansehra, Kohistan, Haripur, Haripur, Karak, Shangla, Swat, Dir, and Malakand, these areas have raised the fear flooding. Authorities have been advised to stay vigilant due to the risk of landsliding.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature has been recorded 28 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature to soar is upto 40 degree Celsius.
The weather in Balochistan will remain hot and humid. Yesterday, the temperature in Quetta was 39, in Kalat 34, in Ziarat 28, in Zhob 38, in Sibi and Nokundi 43, in Turbat 41, in Chaman 40, while the temperature in Gwadar and Jiwani was 32 degrees Celsius. Rain has also been forecast in some areas.
The water level in the Indus River at Guddu Barrage continues to rise. According to the Irrigation Department, moderate flooding continues here. The inflow of water at the barrage is 423,168 cusecs, while the outflow is 387,050 cusecs. An increase of 8,000 cusecs of water has been recorded in the last 24 hours.
The weather in Karachi is also humid and partly cloudy. According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature is likely to be 28.5 degrees, the current temperature is 29 degrees, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.
The humidity ratio in the air has been recorded at 74 percent and winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 33 kilometers per hour. Light drizzle is expected in the city in the morning and night hours, but no chance of rain has been announced.
Meanwhile, the weather will remain hot and humid in most parts of Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh. Rain is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while rain has been predicted in Islamabad in the evening.
The Met Office has directed citizens to be cautious and take precautionary measures in view of possible weather hazards.
