Saudi Naval Chief calls on CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad
Vice Admiral Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ghuraybi, Chief of the Naval Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), during his official visit to the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both dignitaries held detailed discussions on the evolving regional security dynamics, with a particular focus on maritime security in the Middle East and South Asia.
General Mirza highlighted the “historical brotherly relations” between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and reaffirmed the “mutual resolve for enhancing existing bilateral defence cooperation,” the official statement said.
Earlier, upon the Saudi naval chief’s arrival at the headquarters, a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented a Guard of Honour in recognition of the visit.
The visit reflects the growing emphasis on strengthening defence ties between the two countries, especially in the face of shared regional security challenges.
