Time for negotiations is over, says PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has said that the time for negotiations is over and any future political developments will be in accordance with the instructions of the party founder.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Barrister Gohar said that the court instructions on meetings with the PTI founder were being violated, which is regrettable.
He said that there is no need to issue a call to bring out PTI workers. “People automatically join our movement on their own,” he added.
Barrister Gohar said that the PTI founder would lead the protest from jail and give a clear message to the workers.
“It has been two years, now the hardships must come to an end, everyone should be allowed to meet the PTI founder,” the PTI chairman said.
Regarding the Senate elections, the PTI chairman said that the electoral process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was carried out in a smooth manner.
There were some delays due to differences over reserved seats, but overall, the results were better than our expectations, he added.
He rejected the impression that party tickets for Senate elections were given to those who held press conferences after the November 2023 incidents.
Talking about newly elected Senator Mirza Afridi, he said that his name was finalised by the PTI founder himself, and he (Mirza Afridi) never made any statement against the party.
Barrister Gohar claimed that all decisions in the party were made in consultation with the founder. All matters in this regard were settled in March 2024, and now the party is moving forward with a clear plan of action, he added.
