Parliament house roof leak amid rain, exposes structural flaws
Intermittent rain in the federal capital has exposed the structural issue in the Parliament House, where several roofs began leaking, leading to water accumulation on floor.
The administration has temporarily placed buckets at the leaking spots to stop the water.
According to sources, last week, the CDA had covered the roofs with tar so that a permanent solution could be found to the complaints of leakage, but this arrangement proved unsuccessful in the face of heavy rain.
Water was also seen dripping from the roof at several places in the interior floors of the Parliament House.
The administration says that after the rain stops, the roofs will be completely repaired and all the complaints will be redressed.
However, scenes of buckets in the Parliament building have started going viral on social media, which has led citizens to criticize and question that if the building of the country’s most important legislative body cannot withstand the rain, what will happen to the condition of ordinary government offices?
