The Balochistan police surgeon revealed shocking details after the post-mortem report of a couple killed in a case of honour killing in Quetta has emerged.

According to the police surgeon, the couple were shot multiple times. The report confirmed that the woman was shot seven times, while the man sustained nine bullets, mostly to his chest and abdomen.

Both were reportedly killed on June 4, 2025, in a remote area near Quetta, after being accused of a relationship that allegedly violated tribal customs.

The exhumation and post-mortem of the victims were conducted in the presence of local authorities following the circulation of a viral video that showed the brutal execution.

The woman is believed to have been approximately 37 to 38 years old, while the man, identified as Ehsanullah, was between 35 and 36 years old, the police surgeon stated.

“The woman’s body was severely decomposed, making examination more difficult,” the police surgeon added, noting that the man’s body was in a relatively better condition due to slower decomposition.

The grave exhumation was part of an ongoing investigation into the case, which has drawn national attention and outrage.

So far, 20 suspects have been arrested, and the police have filed charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act and Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Authorities continue to search for other suspects, including individuals believed to have played a role in orchestrating or carrying out the murder.

The victims had reportedly married by choice — a decision that allegedly provoked tribal elders to order their killing.

Further forensic and DNA tests are underway, and officials say they are committed to ensuring justice in the case.
