Fresh arrest warrants issued for KP CM Gandapur in arms, liquor case
A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Monday issued fresh non-bailable arrest warrants against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in the liquor and arms recovery case.
The court also ordered the police to arrest Ali Amin Gandapur and present him before the court.
Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti issued the warrants against Ali Amin Gandapur after he failed to appear on Monday despite a “final deadline” given by the court.
The court also rejected his request seeking an exemption from attendance.
It should be noted that in earlier hearings, the court had summoned Gandapur several times; however, due to his continuous absence, the court took a strict stance and issued an arrest warrant.
The court adjourned further hearing in the case till July 22.
