Surprise twist in KP Senate polls as four candidates pull out
The political landscape in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shifted abruptly ahead of the Senate elections, as four dissatisfied candidates Ayesha Bano, Waqas Orakzai, Irshad Hussain, and Irfan Saleem unexpectedly withdrew from the race late last night.
According to reliable sources, the fifth disgruntled candidate, Khurram Zeeshan, is still in the race, but government sources say that he will also announce his withdrawal before the polling. After this development, the possibility of all the candidates being elected unopposed has become clearer.
Ayesha Bano’s emotional statement: “This is the power of a worker” Ayesha Bano’s video statement after the withdrawal went viral on social media, in which she described her decision as a “difficult but principled step.”
She said, “If our party is still alive today, it is only because of the sacrifices and struggle of the workers. We request the party leadership not to put us to repeated tests. We are not a weak party that should go towards an alliance or understanding.’
Aisha Bano further said that Khurram Zeeshan, Irfan Saleem, Waqas Orakzai and Irshad Hussain were not greedy for any seat but stood on a principled stand.
Irfan Saleem Abdeeda, emphasis on the power of workers.
In his video statement, Irfan Saleem Abdeeda was seen, tears flowing from his eyes expressing the intensity of emotions. Emphasizing the importance of party workers, he said, ‘This was just a trailer, enough for those who understand. Workers should not be considered weak.’
Now it remains to be seen whether Khurram Zeeshan withdraws or sets up a new political scenario by remaining present in the elections.
