KP assembly holds key session as reserved seat members set to take oath
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly convened a significant session on Saturday at 9am in Peshawar, where newly elected members on reserved seats were scheduled to be sworn in.
According to the official agenda issued by the Assembly Secretariat, 26 women and 4 minority representatives will take the oath during the proceedings.
Prior to the session, the assembly comprised 115 members, including those from the ruling party.
With the addition of reserved seat members, the total strength of the house will rise to 145.
The full composition of the assembly is expected to accelerate legislative activity.
Political observers regard the session as a turning point for future lawmaking and the continuity of the government’s policy direction.
