In a recent development regarding the upcoming Senate elections, it has been decided that both government and opposition candidates will be elected unopposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This development took place during a meeting of the opposition leaders with the Chief Minister, in which both sides decided unanimously after consultation. It was agreed in the meeting that the government will be given six seats while the opposition will be given five, and this formula will be maintained.

An important meeting between the government and the opposition has ended at the Chief Minister’s House, Peshawar, in which important progress has been made regarding the Senate elections.

According to sources, it has been agreed in the meeting to elect the candidates unopposed. The previously agreed formula of giving 6 seats to the government and 5 seats to the opposition has been maintained.

On the other hand, a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party was also held at the Chief Minister’s House, in which it was decided not to make any changes in the nominated candidates.

It was agreed in the meeting that the Chief Minister will have the authority to take all decisions regarding the candidates. Sources say that no change is possible in the candidates nominated by the founding PTI.
