Dar, Afghan FM agree to maintain momentum of bilateral relations
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Thursday agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral relations and achieve the full potential of regional economic development.
The consensus was achieved during Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s day-long visit to Kabul.
Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi was also present during the meeting.
The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral relations, with the meeting emphasizing strong efforts to expand cooperation in trade, transit, and security.
The two sides also agreed to achieve the full potential of regional economic development, while also agreeing to complete inter-regional connectivity projects.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reached Kabul where he was welcomed by Afghan deputy foreign minister. Pakistan’s ambassador Abur Rehman Nizamani was also present on the occasion.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, during the visit, the foreign minister will sign an agreement on a joint feasibility study for the Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan railway line.
According to the spokesperson, Ishaq Dar is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the special representative for Afghanistan, the minister of railways, and the secretary of railways.
